Today is... MORGAN'S BIRTHDAY

We started Morgan's Birthday off with having her wake-up to her bedroom door decorated.
Keeping up with Traditions...Morgan picked Cinnamon Rolls and Milk for her Birthday Breakfast. Instead of having a friend birthday party, Morgan wanted to go on a date with mom. I was soooo excited to spend the one-on-one time with her. She got to pick everything that she wanted to do (with-in some limits) on the date. Before we left.... She decided that she better open her gifts first so that she didn't get the same thing with her date money ......

Morgan and Daddy

Morgan and Mommy
The first thing Morgan wanted to do was go and see the new Chipmunk Movie.
Here is Morgan hangin' with the Boyz....

The movie was not complete without a trip to the snack-bar... So after the drinks and snacks were bought, we were off to the movie. We were some of the first ones there, I told Morgan to pick any seat that she wanted....(crossing my fingers that she didn't pick the front row) Right up to the top center she went.... (yeah) The movie was great. She loved every second of it.
After the movie, she wanted to go shopping and spend her birthday money from Uncle Cody and Grandpa & Grandma Short. We went to Target, Wal-Mart, and Toys-R-Us. We also went to Chick-fil-a for lunch.

Morgan trying to make up her mind.....
Which one to pick?????

She went home with a Giraffe, who she named "SPOTS"!!!
Thanks Uncle Cody!!!!!
She spent the money she got from G & G Short at Wal-Mart.
She picked out alot of craft items for herself. Thanks G & G Short!!!!!

The dinner of Morgan's Choice was....
PEPPERONI & SAUSAGE PIZZA
Cream Soda, Rootbeer, & Sprite

Believe it or not.....
Morgan picked this to be her Birthday Cake this year.
Strawberry/Raspberry Lemonaide Cake
She found it in one of my cookbooks...
(I added a little of my own touches.)

Baptism Preview

Tonight McKenzie, Adam and I were invited to attend our Wards Baptism Preview night. I can't believe my little princess is turning 8 in just a few short weeks. I remember the day she was born, like it was yesterday, and now we are preparing for her baptism. What a wonderful gift she will receive. The date of her baptism will be April 17, 2010. If you can, we would love for you to join us on this very special day. More information will follow as we get closer to the date.

Happy 11th Birthday Collin

Today we celebrate COLLIN!!!!!

Collin turns 11 years old today.... Collin is such a sweet boy!!! He is a joy to have in our home. He is such a good helper, and all of the younger kids really look up to their BIG BROTHER. I can't believe what a young man he is becoming. It seems just like yesterday he was still our little boy, but as you can tell, Collin is not so little anymore.

Birthday traditions in our house include (but not limited to...) the birthday person picking their favorite Breakfast, their choice of a treat for their class at school, the menu for Dinner, and their favorite (at the moment) dessert. So this is what Collin had in mind this year.....

His day started off early due to it being a school day, with Hot Dutch Babies for Breakfast. Collin decided that he didn't want a treat this year for his classmates. (I guess that comes with getting older) For dinner, the menu included: Steak, Baked Potatoes, & Steamed Broccoli and Carrots. Cream Soda and Orange Pop and the Dessert this year was CHEESECAKE. Two kinds: 1) Regular Cheesecake that we put fresh mixed Berries and Whipped Cream on top. 2) Chocolate Chip Oreo Cheesecake. They were both delicious.....

Adam and I thought we would play a joke on Collin this year. Collin has been asking for a certain Gun...we had told him and told him all along that it wasn't going to happen due to lack of funds being right after Christmas and that he also had 2 of his sisters birthdays right after his. We told him that we would find him something that would be within budget and that maybe next year we would have the money to get him the gun he was asking for...... Well we had already bought him the gun on a really good after Christmas Sale and could not wait to give it to him due to all the talk that was dished out =o)!!!! A few days before his birthday, Adam and I, found a clearance riffle toy gun at Walmart. It makes real shooting sounds and everything. We thought that it would be a perfect gag gift to wrap up and give it to Collin for his birthday. We are sooooo mean... There was only one problem..... Adam was having toooo much fun with the gun I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to pry it away from him!!! Birthday day came and after alot of talking....I had to force Adam to give it up. Here are the pictures of Collin's reaction to the "Fake" gift....

"The Fake Out Present"

It was so funny!!!! He didn't know what to say at first... It was Classic... Then we let him in on our little secret....After telling us that "WE SUCKED" we gave him his real gift....

Collin with his "REAL" Gun
Happy Birthday Buddy!!!
We Love You!!!

Collin also had a friend Birthday Party on January 8th. They played XBOX and different games.
Pizza, Chips and Drinks were his pick for this night.
Pictured Above: Sheldon, Wesley, Collin, & Tynon
(Skylar left before we had dessert)
Collin picked Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies and Ice Cream for his party.
What a great bunch of Boys!!!!!
We hope you had a great 11th Birthday Collin.

In Morgan's Words

This was just to funny not to share with Everyone!!!!

Another Missing Tooth

Look no tears this time around!!!! We keep the tooth fairy hopping at our house. McKenzie lost another tooth on January 3, 2010. This tooth was very stubborn. It wouldn't come out! It even started to turn black. The new tooth said enough with this and finally pushed it out.
