It's Book Report time again for Kendon. After picking a autobiography book from the Library, Kendon had to make a Presidential Campaign Poster about the person in the book he chose. The book he chose was on Booker T. Washington. Here is his campaign poster.

Rock Yard, No More!!!

We approached our Landlord about letting us put grass in back yard for the kiddo's to play on. He said YES!!!! We (Adam, Collin, Erik & Max) did all rock removal ourselves. Our good neighbor, who is a landscaper, had his guys come over to do some final touches before the sod arrived. Then due to Adam's back injury, about 10 member's of our Ward Elder's Quorum came to our house the morning the sod arrived, and in about 45 minutes, We had a back yard lawn.

BEFORE

AFTER
It is so nice to have grass again. It has been about 17 months since we have been in this house. I wish we would have approached our landlord sooner. The kids love it. It has cut down on the dust and the floor stays alot cleaner. I love looking out the back window's and seeing GREEN rather than grey ol' rocks!!!!!

Thank-You to everyone involved, for all the hard work and service you did for our family!!!!

Happy 8th Birthday McKenzie

(We celebrated McKenzie's birthday the whole weekend. So all the pictures were taken on different days.)
McKenzie woke up to this on her bedroom door.

McKenzie also picked a date with me rather than a friend party with her friends this year. So on Saturday McKenzie and I spent the day together. These next 3 pictures were taken before we left for the day.

McKenzie & Mom
We had a great time together. First we went to Justice, Target and Wal-Mart. Then we went to Teaching Tools. I believe McKenzie felt like she was in HEAVEN! At home, one of her favorite things to do is play school. She spent alot of her Birthday money in Teaching tools, buying supplies for her "at home" class. Afterwards we went to Desert Book, which was a stop for me, but McKenzie didin't care. For lunch McKenzie chose to eat at Red Robin. We rounded out the day at Hobby Lobby. We were both in Heaven at this place. We wandered up and down each isle. It was nice not to be in any hurry.

Here is a peek at all the gifts McKenzie got for her Birthday.

The next picture is of McKenzie and I on her Birthday.
I love you Sweetheart.

Keeping up with traditions, McKenzie picked all the meals on her Birthday. For breakfast she chose waffles, bacon and sausage with Chocolate milk. It was a school day, so off to school they went. She chose to take glazed donuts to school to share with her classmates for her birthday. For dinner she picked Chicken Cordon Bleu Cassarole, mandrain oranges, and corn. Along with Rootbeer, Cream Soda, and Strawberry Pop to drink.

Here is the birthday girl with her cake. She knew exactly what she wanted this years cake to look like. The actual cake was confetti, pink whipped cream frosting, and topped with silk flowers in her favorite colors.
