Collin turns 11 years old today.... Collin is such a sweet boy!!! He is a joy to have in our home. He is such a good helper, and all of the younger kids really look up to their BIG BROTHER. I can't believe what a young man he is becoming. It seems just like yesterday he was still our little boy, but as you can tell, Collin is not so little anymore.
Birthday traditions in our house include (but not limited to...) the birthday person picking their favorite Breakfast, their choice of a treat for their class at school, the menu for Dinner, and their favorite (at the moment) dessert. So this is what Collin had in mind this year.....
His day started off early due to it being a school day, with Hot Dutch Babies for Breakfast. Collin decided that he didn't want a treat this year for his classmates. (I guess that comes with getting older) For dinner, the menu included: Steak, Baked Potatoes, & Steamed Broccoli and Carrots. Cream Soda and Orange Pop and the Dessert this year was CHEESECAKE. Two kinds: 1) Regular Cheesecake that we put fresh mixed Berries and Whipped Cream on top. 2) Chocolate Chip Oreo Cheesecake. They were both delicious.....
Adam and I thought we would play a joke on Collin this year. Collin has been asking for a certain Gun...we had told him and told him all along that it wasn't going to happen due to lack of funds being right after Christmas and that he also had 2 of his sisters birthdays right after his. We told him that we would find him something that would be within budget and that maybe next year we would have the money to get him the gun he was asking for...... Well we had already bought him the gun on a really good after Christmas Sale and could not wait to give it to him due to all the talk that was dished out =o)!!!! A few days before his birthday, Adam and I, found a clearance riffle toy gun at Walmart. It makes real shooting sounds and everything. We thought that it would be a perfect gag gift to wrap up and give it to Collin for his birthday. We are sooooo mean... There was only one problem..... Adam was having toooo much fun with the gun I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to pry it away from him!!! Birthday day came and after alot of talking....I had to force Adam to give it up. Here are the pictures of Collin's reaction to the "Fake" gift....

Collin also had a friend Birthday Party on January 8th. They played XBOX and different games.
